Puppy School

Our Puppy School is the perfect place to start your dog’s training journey. Early positive experiences are crucial, as a puppy’s brain is like a sponge, rapidly absorbing information and forming associations with the world around them.

Our program ensures these early lessons help your puppy grow into a confident and well-adjusted companion by providing the support and foundation skills you both need.

Upcoming course start dates:

Thursday January 30th from 6:00pm – 7:00pm
Wednesday February 12th from 5:00pm – 6:00pm
Saturday March 1st – 9:30am from 10:30am

    • Toilet training

    • Managing chewing and mouthing

    • Preventing the development of problem behaviours

    • General canine wellbeing

    • Engagement with owners and family members

    • Settling techniques

    • Handling desensitisation

    • Socialisation and managing play

    • Preparation for vet visits and grooming

  • This course is for puppies aged 8 - 16 weeks who have had at least one vaccination.

  • This course goes for 6 weeks.

  • $195 for the six week course.

Basic Manners

The Basic Manners course is ideal for further socialising your dog while reinforcing essential foundation skills. It’s especially helpful for families dealing with ‘teenage’ behaviors in their dogs, such as jumping, leash pulling, and impulse control issues. Our instructors focus on helping you understand your dog’s experience, allowing you to manage outcomes and guide your dog towards more desirable behaviors.

Adolescent Etiquette

Adolescent Etiquette casual classes are the perfect opportunity for teen pups to build upon their skill set and become even more confident, well-mannered, and socially savvy! These fun, drop-in classes allow you to attend any and all rotated sessions that you feel your pup needs more practice at! Through exciting, scenario-based training and real-life excursions, your dog will learn to apply their Puppy School lessons in everyday situations. It’s a fantastic way to support your adolescent dog as they grow into a happy, resilient adult, all while having a great time together!

    • How to walk politely on a leash without pulling, even with distractions.

    • Coming when called in real-life scenarios, such as parks or busy areas.

    • Managing excitement and frustration in social settings and during play.

    • Appropriate behaviour around other dogs and people in various environments.

    • Staying focused on cues even in challenging or distracting situations.

  • This course is best for dogs 4-8 months old.

  • These courses are scenario based and run casually, so you can come to as many or as little as needed!

  • $30 per class.

Advanced Skills

After completing our Basic Manners course, elevate your dog’s training with our Advanced Skills program. This course is specifically designed to build on the foundation you’ve already established, helping you and your dog navigate real-life scenarios with greater confidence and reliability.

We’ll focus on applying the techniques you’ve practiced in more challenging and diverse environments, ensuring your dog’s skills are consistent and dependable in any situation.

Saturday April 12th from 11:30am – 12:30pm

    • Reliable recall from greater distances and more challenging environments

    • Maintaining loose leash walking in crowded, high-distraction areas such as parks, streets, or busy neighborhoods.

    • Mastering impulse control skills in situations with high temptation, like food or toys present.

    • Performing basic cues off-leash, with reliability and focus.

    • Reading and responding to dog body language, as well as teaching dogs how to make good choices in different scenarios.

  • This course is best for dogs 4-8 months old.

  • These courses are scenario based and run casually, so you can come to as many or as little as needed!

  • $30 per class.
